About Hannah

A small success can change the way a child feels about homework. I’m Hannah, and I like making schoolwork approachable through conversation, short activities and topics a child is curious about. Animals, adventures and wonderfully silly story ideas are all welcome starting points. I support BC English Language Arts, Math and Science in Grades 3–8. We might practise understanding a passage, build a picture of fractions, plan a paragraph or explain a science diagram in everyday language. I enjoy children's books and creative projects, so lessons often use stories, sketches and familiar objects to make an idea concrete. We choose a clear focus rather than trying to cover three subjects in every session. Tasks are short enough to feel achievable, with time to think and explain. Parents can help shape the starting point by sharing what homework currently feels difficult and what their child enjoys. Teaching approach

Agree one subject and achievable goal with the parent or guardian. Use a short story, drawing or concrete model to introduce the idea, then let the child explain and practise it. Keep activities varied and revisit a task they can now complete with less help. End with one manageable thing to practise.
