About Lucas

I’m Lucas, and I like the moment when a question goes from ‘I have no idea’ to ‘I know what to try first’. We do not have to solve everything at once. I help students break a problem into smaller decisions and understand why each step belongs in the solution. I support Alberta Math 10C, Math 20-1, Math 30-1, Math 30-2, and Physics 20 & 30, including preparation for the relevant Grade 12 Diploma Exams. We can untangle functions or trigonometry, interpret a graph or decide what a physics problem is actually asking. I enjoy walking, casual sport and puzzles that take a few attempts, and bring a relaxed but persistent approach to lessons. Unfinished working is welcome: it helps us spot where an idea stopped making sense. We build from a manageable example towards a similar question you can tackle with less help, keeping the practice matched to your course. Teaching approach

Confirm the exact Alberta math stream or physics course before selecting practice. Break a problem into decisions, sketch the situation and connect each calculation to its purpose.
