About Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca, and I offer a patient approach to Math and Physics for students following the Alberta curriculum. If you’ve started to dread opening your homework, I’d like our lessons to give you a place to ask questions without feeling rushed. Sometimes the difficulty sits a few steps before the topic you’re studying. Fractions can get in the way of algebra; an uncertain grasp of graphs can make a physics question seem much harder. We can go back to those earlier ideas and make them useful again, then return to the work you need to do now. I’ll ask you to bring your working, including the bits you crossed out. It tells us much more than a final answer. We can compare approaches, notice what you already do well and choose one or two things to practise. I also like to finish by asking you to talk me through a question, so you can recognise what you’ve understood for yourself. Whether you need regular support or help with a particular unit, let me know your course and what has been getting in the way.
