About Thomas
I help students following the BC curriculum build confidence in Math, Physics and Computer Science by making room for questions and breaking problems into manageable steps. Whether you’re catching up with classwork, preparing for a test or looking for a challenge, we’ll start with what you want to work on. My first step is to look at a question with you and hear how you would approach it. That helps us find the point where things become unclear, whether it’s an unfamiliar idea, a missing foundation or simply knowing how to begin. We’ll work through an example together, then give you a chance to try a similar problem with support when you need it. In Math, that might mean connecting an equation to a graph. In Physics, we might sketch the situation before choosing a formula. In Computer Science, we can trace a program line by line to understand what it’s doing and where it goes wrong. I want you to be able to explain your reasoning as well as reach an answer. There’s always room to say, “Can we go through that again?” Send me a message with your course, the topics you’re finding difficult and what you’d like to achieve, and we can discuss where to start.
